The manually operated Speed Block is a simple
and effective way to use the ID Xpansion clamps when the tapered screw cannot be accessed with the hex key. The precision block has
heat treated and ground pistons that are cam actuated to tighten and loosen the clamps.
The steel drive plates, which move up and down with the pistons,
are intended to be drilled and tapped for the tapered screw. The aluminum face plate becomes the fixture when machined for the clamp
bodies. For precision alignment, the aluminum face plates are mounted with ground shoulder bolts. Mounting holes for 3/8 SHCS (10mm)
are provided or the Speed Block can be used in a vise.
The Speed Block is ideal for jobs that do not justify hydraulic applications
